so far the job is good. i’m meeting expectations and still hoping to pass them.
got me a credit card and copped a 50 inch tv. i will not make another big purchase with it until the majority is paid off. two paychecks coming later today and tomorrow.
this adulthood shit is type wavey.

orientation tomorrow for my first “real” job… i say “real” because this is not my first actual job but i don’t consider summer jobs or reffing intramural college basketball games “real” jobs. i’m kind of nervous since with “real” jobs there are expectations and goals you must meet, not to just succeed, but to even get a chance to stay.
i will try my best to just memorize the same line to repeat over and over again:
“how are you today? did you find everything you need? can we interest you in a sears credit card application? would you like to be part of our free rewards program?”
sounds easy, except when you are expected to sell a certain amount, especially to be promoted to a salesperson, which is what i hope to be there. so for this job, i will have to grow up, learn how to work with people and be more responsible than i’ve ever been.
which is why i titled this post “adulthood”
i have a hard time staying committed to things as you can tell from my postings the past… year i guess. its hard to stay focused in school, hard to stay committed to things that keeps me progressing. the only thing i’m committed to is my relationship which i have no problem with.
i just have a problem not being able to commit to everything else in my life. can’t focus on school right now so i just said fuck it. not forever, just for the rest of this semester. i believe next semester i will be capable of focusing on things a whole lot better. but for now, i will just focus on getting my money up and having too much fun so i can get all of it out of my system before next fall.
